The salience and necessity of science and technology in today's world is becoming more recognized by many, and demanded analyzed in several ways, the truth is that for the case of our country remains a promise unfulfilled, of another of our aspirations to get out of backwardness, poverty and dependence.
Despite the economic conditions and infrastructure of the country, we can say that Mexico has good researchers, but have not been able to develop their projects due to lack of inversión.Es well as scientific and technological research should be mainly used for social and educational, but also to solve strategic problems of the productive sector, the technological independence, quality production, the competitiveness of small and medium industries and develop mechanisms for coordination and strengthening of national market.
This is why it is necessary to begin a continuous scientific and technological development, linked to a quality education and innovative, to improve the conditions of the population, competitiveness and productivity of the country. The union between basic research and quality education are factors to be considered in the progress of national science.

And that is why the main challenges for the country is: to consolidate the scientific and technological capacity, strengthening higher education, increase public and private investment in research and disseminate scientific knowledge and technology.
