Graphics of a cell in Excel
Until the 2007 version of Excel, to view a visual representation of the data using the familiar graphics, but with the arrival of Excel 2010 comes a new tool that complement the graphs in Excel.
This is sparklines or charts in a single cell.
With them you can now create tiny integrated graphics within each cell. These will be used to easily detect patterns of data tables. This is a very simple and quick to highlight the important trends in the data (such as seasonal increases and decreases).
In this little mini tutorial on how to generate Excel see:
To make use of sparklines we will only select the cells where we place these miniature graphics (usually a column next to the data table).
Then, click on the Insert tab sparklines, choosing line, column or gain or loss. Particularly, the most visual online format I think. The gain or loss format see it very suitable for the interpretation of balance sheets, which seldom occur in the red.
Then mark the range of cells that we use as the basis of the graphs and these will be generated instantly.
As shown in Fig. It is fast, simple and intuitive to interpret the data in the table, identify trends and monitor developments. What at first was a rather poor legibility of numbers has now become easily understandable.
In previous versions should have generated a graph that includes all the series (if you use the same scale) or a chart for each of them.
The value provided by this new feature of Excel 2010 is evident.
