Yellow Pages Advertising: Your Prospects Buy no woofers and tweeters
Ready to spend several thousand dollars to a local company, I reached my Yellow Pages directory. The "need" to upgrade my stereo system and I knew that I wanted to in-town service - wanted to buy local. So while this "Rarin 'To Buy" frame-of-mind, I opened my tattered Yellow Pages directory, fixing his eyes on a handful of ads and Yellow Pages ... I was completely non-moving and disappointing!
Photographs of sterile amplifiers and speakers together with laundry lists of manufacturer brands eyes glazing over as I tried the yellow pages in my directory. A stereo shop had a big map of location, although it was in a popular street main. The huge trade names and logos appeared on top of the most Yellow Pages ads. Some including email addresses and URLs, assuming I was sitting at my computer - not in possession of a phone ready to make a phone call. And huge numbers of phone abound, as if somehow the size of the number would have a positive influence on my decision making.
Like most other stereophiles, my love for music runs deep. It is a joyful and full of emotions hobby. I want to be able to close your eyes and imagine credible artists playing right there in front of me, to sing aloud my favorite composition. I want every instrument and voice to sound dead accurate, error free and sincere. In a nutshell, I want a "personal performance" command in my house that will raise the hair on the neck and give me goosebumps humungous as I please myself in my favorite songs.
But no ads in Yellow Pages directories that I have seen in my address what I actually wanted! Instead, the ads that I saw disconnect creates a sharp and uncomfortable with my true desires. Not a single yellow page advertising talked to my passion and true love for music. There was a drop of emotion is one of these ads in Yellow Pages! Sorry, but coils, magnets, tweeters, logos, maps and brand names will never stir my soul. Or move to call me an audio shop!
