Lighting at work and your health

Most every office or place of work you put will be lit by fluorescent lights because they give more light to the dollar. Unfortunately the color is cool white, which has a lot of excess yellow and resistant to any color blue. Blue eyes controls your students if there is not enough blue to light your pupils stay wide open and let in too much light. If the job had the full spectrum fluorescent lights with all the colors available and only near the pupil would let the light that your eyes need.

Cool white fluorescent lights cause eyestrain, headaches, fatigue and many other problems. Full spectrum light will give you a comfortable light a light that the eyes are designed for. In full spectrum light will have much better depth of field, see the bright colors, have little or no reverb on the computer screen.

The research was conducted on school children in classrooms with cool white lights and classrooms with the lights full spectrum of teachers were aware of the study who took time-lapse photos of children at random intervals. The cool white children in the class demonstrated hyperactivity, fatigue, irritability, and attention deficit. The children in the classroom full spectrum within 1 month, the behavior and performance in the classroom, and school performance improved significantly. In addition, many learning disabled children with extreme hyperactivity problems miraculously calmed down and seems to overcome some of their learning and reading problems, while in class.

A study was done in Germany with cool white light vs full spectrum fluorescent and controlled for changes in the endocrine system, have found that individuals had white cold stress, such as levels of ACTH and cortisol (stress hormones) These changes did not happen under full spectrum lights. Based on this research and that of the other Germany, prohibited cool white fluorescent lights in hospitals and medical facilities.

Sunlight falling on the skin initiates a series of reactions in the body which leads to the production of vitamin D a necessary ingredient for the absorption of calcium and other minerals from the diet.

Residents of nursing homes who can not get out should have access to full spectrum lighting.

Dr. John Ott the father of time-lapse photography done quite a bit 'light on the research and found that each nutrient and medicine has a wavelength specific absorption if these wavelengths are missing in the artificial light then the nutritional benefits or other nature of the substance will not be used.

If you are passing from home to work and back home again, it might be time to do your body a favor and add some 'broad-spectrum lighting in the mix of lights in the home and office, Your body will thank you .......
