Bounce House Rental Business - Part Seven
Time:
I'm afraid that once you start this business, it is inevitable to avoid becoming dependent on weather conditions. Priority when making reservations by phone can help you here if you ask the tenant what their view of the showers. If they say that is cause for concern then there will be ringing to cancel if there is only light rain forecast.
Please note that you have the responsibility to advise each client what to do in case of bad weather. That said, a boat should never be erected in adverse weather conditions. If it does rain after its creation, then the unit should not be used, such as an accident may occur due to being slippery. The castle, the fan and the cable should be designed to run through the rain so it is only the safety of children is important here.
Basically, the inflatable must be switched off if there are strong winds, torrential rains or thunder / lightning. No electrical equipment should never be used in a storm and although this is common sense, we must emphasize again and ask the customer to sign the necessary documents to confirm their understanding, (more on paperwork later).
A common sense approach that you're a business point of view is that if a customer does not want to chance the weather, then there is no cost, but if it was built then you have to pay full price, whatever the weather. That's because the entire payment will be taking over.
This brings me to my next point well, deposits. If you take a deposit or not, this is the problem? The answer depends on where you live and what the competition is doing. If you found through research that is the norm then I suggest you do the same. The deposits are generally not refundable, but can be used for a future booking. In this way no one loses. Make sure that the customer is made fully aware of the filing instructions / guidelines, and that at the time of booking, there is a time limit of 3 working days, for example, the amount payable. Unfortunately, when spending money, some people are dragging their heels.
Suppose that you have taken the three bounce houses and the heavens have opened. Not only was about to get wet, but in itself is likely to weigh a ton. What do you do? This again will depend on how you can be flexible if possible castles are going out tomorrow and what the forecast is forecasting too. If possible, call customers and offer them the opportunity to use tomorrow. Not only that I hope will help to dry it out for you, but the customer is happy, especially if they had little use for so far.
Leaving a castle all night not carry some risk from pests. Although extremely rare, there have been occasions where foxes or other animals have chewed the plastic, but in general any damage can be corrected and as I said, this is the exception rather than the rule .......
